Generally useful

This is a pretty sweet App, and I have no regrets buying it (although I owned the previous version as well). I enjoy the interface and the conversion of various video types makes it extremely easy to stream all my content to my Apple TV.

The one issue I have is a pretty minor one, but worth mentioning: when watching a video with subtitles, depending on how the video is encoded, Smart Converter Pro 2 will not convert it correctly. In other words, the video will display the subtitles in iTunes when you play it on your Mac, but if you try to load it onto your phone or iPad the subtitles are gone. I had to go out and download a third party app that kept the subtitles for a Japanese show I watch.

I consider that to be a pretty small issue, though, and it did not have a particularly negative impact on my rating.
