It's 80% slower than the free version. Waste of money. Very very very disappointed!!!

Simple to use with perfect features! You can set it up to monitor your downloads, convert them to iTunes compatible files, and automatically send them to iTunes. I use it every day and never even have to look at it.

I’ve tried deleting it and redownloading it many times and to no avail will it actually convert MP4 video to MP3. It just freezes at 0%.

Looks like a good idea but when I loaded the Ap and atempted to convert I got a message that it no longer supported conversion of the video I was trying to convert.

The App is amazing. It works as advertised. It’s very simple to use. I have converted well over 1000 TV shows and movies over last couple of years after purchasing this app. I love how it pulls down the info for each TV episode and Movie, fits right into your iTunes like if you purchased directly from iTunes. Now with this new upgrade (ver 2.2.2) I am finally able to convert HEVC files. The “BUT” is some files take forever to convert especially AVI files and the HEVC - I wish they as fast as the MKV or MP4 files. If you have allot of files you need converting for steaming through your appleTV I highly recommend it.

I paid 15$ for this app thinking it would be faster, I was wrong. I love the app, can’t complain on how it works, however I was promised from the description this would be faster than the original free version. For a free App, it deserves the 5star rating but as for this paid app, I’m giving it an average. 3 The only difference this pro version gives us is the artwork, subtitle/surround sound, and converting multiple files at once. If I knew this, I would’ve never bought it. Converting is still kinda slow on the large HD files is really what I have to complain about.

I just upgraded to Pro 2, so I cant make any judgments yet. However, Pro was the best media conversion program Ive seen or used. It is intuitive and able to do anything I want it to do--and fast! Stan Kossen

works great. struggles sopmetime to gets subtitles in french but does the works very easily

I was already using SC for Mac, and was happy with its performace. The Pro version, with the batch function and faster rate of conversion is even better. I highly reccommended.

Hi, I really liked Smart Converter, specially the subtitle finding feature. Could you add an option to automatically search for an subtitles in a choosen language? I have to click “Search” for each file I add and it almost always finds a subtitle. So its just a matter of doing it automatically! It would be of GREAT help in pro version! Thanks!

Comprei o app para converter meus dvd’s e assisti-los na apple tv, via wi-fi, entretanto a funcionalidade foi retirada. Este e o melhor conversor para Mac? Imagine o pior. A resposta no FAC da empresa: "What happened to VOB support? The initial version of Smart Converter Free included VOB support. We thought that this was OK as we were not allowing the conversion of copy-protected VOB files. When we submitted version 1.1 of Smart Converter to the App Store it got rejected because it allowed VOB file conversion. We had to remove VOB conversion support from Smart Converter and Smart Converter Pro in order to get them listed on the App Store. We have retained VOB support in the Shedworx versions of Smart Converter and Smart Converter Pro.”

This version stopped to convert itunes videos. MP4 aways get error.

because of the situation, that itunes now sorts all of it’s contents on iOS devices by ID and not by NUMBER anymore, all series are sorted wrong and without a chance to watch them in the correct order. Maybe I need just a batch, or else - but I don’t have one. With this point fixed, 5 stars and the best converter there is by far!

I’ve tried a few convertors from the app store and this is the best by far. Does exactly what it says it will. I transfer a lot of files to .avi and every one has turned out perfectly every time. Money well spent. Don’t bother with anything else, just get this.
