I had downloaded the trial version to try it out and was impressed. Bought the full version and it’s even better.

This app is too expensive…I can pretty much gurantee that they would make a lot more money selling it if they lowered the price by $5 because they would sell way more than they do right now at $17!! But hey, what do I know? I only paid this price because I got an iTunes card for my BDay. That said, this is a very user friendly app for anyone to use and there are a couple of neat options that you can play around with if you feel like it or you can use it as is when you first open it. It really is as simple as click and drag and click a button of what you would like to convert it to and off you go!! If you are looking for an easy to use conversion app this is the one for you but try to negotiate a deal on the price!! LOL!! I would recommend this to anyone I know looking for this type of app!

Great app, easy to use and it does exactly whats intended ( which can be rare with 3rd party apps ) to do without much preconfiguration! Tons of preset file types labelled plainly ( ex. Playstation 3, Apple TV, iPad ), I highly recommend the purchase

Really solid app for converting video files. It does the conversion with little hassle & tags the movie or TV episodes too. Very easy to convert your collection to digital to watch on your AppleTV through iTunes. Only complaint is the converter has sometimes not worked on some files but it may have been an issue with the source I was using plus find the app may have a hard time tagging with some rare programs (these are not big concerns as neither usually happen often). Also found an earlier issue where the app did not finish conversion sometimes when your mac goes to sleep, but seems that it may have been addressed in updates. Love the fact that you can set up several files to convert so you do not have to sit around for it to work & rip then convert the next file - then sends files straight to iTunes - great stuff!! Overall a real easy to use converter that makes good quality conversions. Price on the app seems bit high - thought I only paid around $10 for it when it first came out.

I used the trial version and found it to be adequate….love this PRO version!! I’m so glad that I found it!!! It makes conversion very, very simple….just drag and drop…select what you want to convert your file to…done!!! I think it’s worth the money!!!

I am a neophyte and this app presumes a level of familarity with Apple and other software and devices. It is not particularly intuative and using it is hit and miss at best. I chose to buy this based on the reviews and I now have regrets about that. It is going to be a struggle to get anywhere with this.

There are far too many apps that promise a lot and don’t deliver. I’m happy to say this one does deliver. It is about as easy to use as it is possible and coverts everything I’ve tried so far. Considering the bewildering number of file formats and codec’s I’m impressed with how well this app works.

Great converter!!! I wish when grabbing info from the net for covers, the cover icon was bigger. Or the ability to change the size. Sometimes I end up with artwork that’s in a different language, cause I can’t see the words because it’s small on a 27” mac.

I purchase it because I had iTune gift card. I am happy with the sofware but othewise I would not buy it. I like the fact you can set many film to transform and let it work. also the fact you can get subtitle and more information is great. Thanks

I love how quickly and easily this app works, just drag and drop into the app and it automatically finds the data required. I am a big geek and love that it encodes the metadata into each of the tv episodes and movies that it is converting. my only complaint is that there are a couple of very high end formats that a few of my files are in, that are not available to be converted yet. Hope this catches up soon.

Looked for reasons this converter doesnt work anymore not sure why but the first converter was great and worked fine. A new one came out the old one stopped working and it said delete v 1 and dl v 2 from the app store. I had to pay AGAIN!! Now it takes 24 hours to convert 1/4 of a movie and it only used to ever take 30 mins for the largest movies at slowest setting. I want my money back!!!

I originally had the free version of this program and it worked great for converting the one or two files that I needed to convert. Recently I decided to tackle the 2,000 video files that I had from my old PC computer that I want to import into Final Cut Pro and I started trying to convert the files using the free version, which was VERY time consuming. I’m so glad I decided to pay for the Pro version as it works great and is very fast. I can set the destination file, batch convert and so far everything is working well. I highly recommend this program.

had your product for over a year never had a problem until a few months ago, now it wont even open. i dont want to reinstall because i dont want to have to pay again. please fix with update asap or i will have to go to another product

no way anyone would tell you that you’re buying into less than what you’ve come to like about this software while you were evaluating it . if like me you’ve been using “ Smart Converter Lite “ and you liked it enough to buy the “PRO” version you should know that certain fuctions have been removed from this pro version and this program may be useless to you as it is to me . I am looking for a refund . now that should keep me busy for a while instead of converting videos .

Why didn’t I buy this two years ago? I was using the free version the whole time, and what made this 100 percent worth it is the metadata. It searches the metadata and then adds it onto iTunes with all the information, artwork, etc… This app is absolutely perfect for conversions. Worth every penny.

PLEASE FIX… I use this program all the time to add subtitles for my girlfriend… its the only way she can watch movie… english subtitiles show up in the list but its done converting, no subtitles. i also try and change the preset buttons and that won’t save… not happy at all… 1 STAR is what i give it… when it works its a 5 STAR app… ONLY WHEN IT WORKS.

Takes way longer to do the job than the previous version.

For some reason it’s more difficult to convert files! I’m trying to convert MOD to mp4, and it’s just not taking, even though I was successful before! What is happening?
